When a booking is created with a flight number, the system fetches scheduled arrival, gate and terminal. It then polls actual status every 15 minutes starting 4 hours before landing. On delay of more than 15 minutes, the pickup time shifts, the chauffeur gets a push notification and the passenger gets an email/SMS confirming the new plan.
For meet-and-greet bookings, the chauffeur gets a sign-board photo brief in the app, terminal-specific parking instructions and a greeter script. On arrival, the chauffeur marks 'met' and the timer starts for wait-time billing (typically after 30 minutes of grace).
Airport wait time is billed differently from street wait time — usually a longer grace period (30 minutes vs 10) and a lower per-minute rate. Configurable per rate card.
