The three pricing models — and which one is best
Dispatch software is sold under three fundamentally different pricing structures, and the choice between them affects your margin for years. Flat-fee SaaS charges one monthly subscription for unlimited vehicles, drivers and bookings — typical pricing is $99/month for 1–2 drivers, $199–$499/month for mid-fleets, $999+/month for white-labelled enterprise. Per-vehicle pricing (charged by legacy on-premise vendors and some cloud platforms) charges $25–$40 per car per month — a 25-vehicle fleet pays $625–$1,000/month and a 100-car fleet pays $2,500–$4,000/month, and every new car you add increases the bill. Per-booking commission (charged by ride-hailing-style platforms) takes 10–25% of every fare in perpetuity — on a fleet doing 500 trips/week at $20 average fare, that's $1,000–$2,500/week ($52K–$130K/year) gone to software. Flat-fee is almost always the best long-term economics for any operator above two vehicles.
